RE/MAX Venture Victory!

This week, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare celebrated one of our top fundraising RE/MAX companies, RE/MAX Venture! Broker Owners, Matt and Deb Gillard, have been strong supporters of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and shared this love with many of their agents. RE/MAX Venture associates accompanied them to the hospital to learn more about Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and see some kiddos!

Providing Miracles to Champions

One area of interest for their group was the Assistive Technology Department. At Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, kids can work with experts who provide special technology for disabilities, including customized equipment designed specifically for every child. Our internationally recognized providers work in teams to develop custom treatment plans that might include assistive devices, such as: artificial limbs (prosteses) , braces (ortheses), wheelchair seating, and Craniocaps.

The Children’s Miracle Network Champion for Gillette Children’s Specialty Health Care 2019, Eli Brummond, has utilized these services after being born with with a condition called fibular hemimelia, in which he was lacking a Fibula bone. Although this condition can present differently in multiple children, when Eli was 8 months old, the surgeons at Gillette amputated his lower leg so he could be fitted for a prosthesis. Now, Eli is a thriving eleven year old boy who loves playing sports with his new custom prosthesis, thanks to Children’s Miracle Network donations like those from RE/MAX Venture.
