Racer Jak Crawford took over RE/MAX Instagram in Special Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Visit

Patients were invited to cheer Crawford on as he sought victory in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Race, part of the Portland Grand Prix

Teen driver Jak Crawford was in town for a big week at the Portland International Raceway in Oregon. With the second to last weekend of the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship on the horizon, Crawford took time away from the track to  visit Doernbecher Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, August 28th as part of the RE/MAX Month of Miracles, a campaign to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“One of the reasons I was excited to be sponsored by RE/MAX was the opportunity to be involved in the company’s partnership with CMN Hospitals,” Crawford says. “I’m looking forward to meeting the brave kids undergoing treatment and to learn more about the hospital’s work.”

Crawford shared video and photos from his visit as part of an Instagram takeover of the official @Remax account. He also volunteered with a bingo game at the hospital and gave out free passes to the weekend’s race. Cooper Tires Indy Lights driver Rinus VeeKay, who currently sits second in the series championship points battle, joined Crawford for the hospital tour.

The RE/MAX Month of Miracles, celebrated each August, is a month-long celebration of the life-changing work done every day at CMN member hospitals. Through various office fundraisers and the sale of “Miracle Homes,” RE/MAX agents have donated millions to help kids since the partnership began in 1992.
