Miracles in Action: Jeff Kolbus

Michael being treated in the NICU

RE/MAX agents are among the most passionate fundraisers out there, and for good reason. Many of them have a personal connection to our cause, whether it be family members, friends or even themselves who were treated at a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Jeff Kolbus is the broker/owner at RE/MAX Traders Unlimited in Peoria, IL, and committed fundraiser for CMN Hospitals. Jeff shared the following with us:

Michael [my son] was born 7.5 weeks premature in September 1995.  His lungs were not developed.  He was 4 lbs. 10 ounces and, unbeknownst to us at the time, he was not expected to make it through the first day.  He remained in NICU for just 24 days, when they felt he was stable enough to go home on a breathing monitor.  Twenty-one years later, Michael is now a healthy college student athlete.

You never know when you or a family member is going to need the services of a CMN Hospital. Supporting your local or nearest hospital, you’ll help make children’s and their families experience’s world class. We can’t say thank you, enough.”

Michael is Jeff’s ‘why’ – a reason for him to support something big and give back to his community.

Help us celebrate RE/MAX Month of Miracles by sharing your ‘why’ with us at miraclehomeprogram@cmnhospitals.org.
