Local Baton Rouge RE/MAX Offices Raise Over $44,000 for Local Patients

Members of the Baton Rouge real estate community joined together over Mardi Gras to raise funds and awareness for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

Three years ago, RE/MAX agents from RE/MAX First, RE/MAX Plus, RE/MAX Real Estate Group, and RE/MAX Professional formed a committee to work together to raise funds for the children’s hospital.  Out of their planning, a fundraising event was created titled RE/MAX Miracles at Mardi Gras.  Over the past three years, the event has evolved and raised over $135,000 for local patients!

This year’s Miracles at Mardi Gras event was held at Our Lady of the Lake on Thursday, February 1st and sponsored by many businesses in the community including Platinum Plus sponsors Commerce Title and GMFS Mortgage! Signature drinks and appetizers were provided by Ambrosia Bakery, Another Broken Egg Cafe, Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company, BRQ, Community Coffee, Crazy Dave’s Bar and Grill, Crescent Crown, Drusilla Seafood, Phil’s Oyster Bar, Walk On’s Bistreaux and Bar, and Unique Cuisine.  The event held a silent auction with many items donated from local businesses while professional auctioneer, Brian Fourroux of Brian’s Furniture in Port Allen led the live auction.  This year’s event raised over $44,000 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital patients!
